Brent W. Daines brings over three decades of experience in the accounting and finance industry. He earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Weber State University after attending the University of Utah, and has been a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the State of Utah since 1995.

Brent served as managing partner of Daines Goodwin and Company, a respected regional CPA firm, for 32 years. In 2017, the firm merged with Eide Bailly LLP, further expanding its reach and capabilities.

His areas of expertise include finance, taxation, captive insurance management, and tenant legal liability programs. Brent is known for his strategic insight and deep industry knowledge, making him a trusted advisor and leader in his field.

Outside of the office, Brent enjoys spending time outdoors fly fishing, skiing, and golfing with family and close friends. A self-proclaimed opponent of board games, he prefers adventure and connection over tabletop competition.

A passionate angler, Brent has fly-fished across the globe, including destinations such as New Zealand, England, Canada, Mexico, Louisiana, Florida, the Turks and Caicos, and throughout the Western United States.

His go-to books are the Book of Mormon, New Testament, Undaunted Courage and for movies Remember the Titans and Miracle.

His personal motto, “Sometimes you gotta play hurt,” reflects his grit and resilience both professionally and personally.

If given the chance, his dream job would be serving as a fly fishing guide on Montana’s Beaverhead River or Utah’s Green River.
